Can someone please explain why people think Dallas is better than Philly?

The Cowboys have done nothing to prove that they are a better team than the Eagles. I do think that they will be a playoff team again this year, but they haven't won one of those since 1996. They have no division titles in the past 8 or 9 years, and have a losing record to the Eagles in this decade. Yet suddenly, they are America's Team again after what? A bobbled snap in Seattle? Until the Eagles crash and burn, McNabb is still better than Romo, Westbrook is the best back in the NFC East, the offensive line is ridiculous, and the defense has improved...can someone please explain to me why Dallas is considered a better team by more people even though they have proved nothing?
