Wasting our time doing this?????

Is or is it not sad that we are sitting talking, asking questions etc, through this medium when there is so much happening out there in the real world. Would the time and energy spent p*ssing around on the internet not be better spent actually improving, adding something positive to the world we live in instead of hiding away from it? Is talking face to face in bars, coffee shops etc, becoming a rarity?
