Has anyone here met janis joplin?

Hey, my uncle met her in the late 60s. Her sister went to the same college that he did and she said that Janis was going to come by and that she'd love to introduce them. He said she was really quiet, she kept to herself, but seemed like a sweet person. Fame has such an effect on people, most of the time for the worse... He said she had a hard time coping with it (even at that point). I've heard that she had a hard time making friends, she was so shy, but the ones she had, she treated them really well. I totally agree with you she has an amazing voice and seemed like a really cool person. I hate that I wasn't alive at that point either, I feel like I might have fit in better there. haha.
