I am at a fork in the road?

i was always a spiritual, introverted and philosophical person. i am a phd student in philosophy and i am a writer. i love my fiance of 1 year, but i am having a problem with the fact that although he loves me and adores me, he is more basic, easygoing, go with the flow, doesn't see a problem in anything. the philosophy of this bothers me, since the issues i think are important he does not. philosophy users, how can i solve this?
